Mackenzie Betonte, Edmonds born and raised, started The Social Chain Co. as a path to fund her IVF journey. That journey brought her daughter, James Harper Betonte, into the world — and this business grew into something much more than she ever imagined.

Not at all! The micro-weld is completely painless and takes just a second. Most clients don't even feel it — it's a tiny spark that permanently closes the chain.
Yes! That's the beauty of permanent jewelry. You can shower, swim, and sleep in it. Gold-filled and sterling silver are both water-resistant. For longevity, we recommend patting dry and avoiding harsh chemicals like chlorine when possible.
It can be removed with a small pair of scissors or wire cutters if needed — for surgery or if you change your mind. You can always come back and have it rewelded!
With proper care, permanent jewelry lasts for years — and many clients wear theirs indefinitely. Gold-filled is the most durable option for everyday wear.
We offer gold-filled, sterling silver, and rose gold. All metals are high quality and appropriate for sensitive skin.
